The Highlighters You NEED.

Now with the Summer months approaching here! I thought you may want to see my favourite highlighting products to help give you that beautiful radiant sheen in the summer months.
I’m not sure about you but I’m a sucker for all things glowy, ‘sheeny’ and radiant looking. I love how they instantly help to make me look I’ve had 12 hours of sleep, I have the worlds best skin and to cheat that I eat my 5 portions of fruit and veg a day. Lolz.

Who doesn’t love a good highlight?

Best Highlighting Product for a Skincare Lover:
Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concerntrate

I’m kicking off with more of a skincare care treatment product. This is a serum so you need to use it everyday, the more you use it the more it will benefit your skin. It’s more of a long term permanent investment more than a cheaper quick fix ‘fake it’ product, hence the price tag at £59. BUT it’s so worth it.

Meet Lancome’s Advanced Genifique.

IMG_1722 (2)

I’ve been a HUGE fan of this product for about nearly 4 years now and used it almost every day since.
I apply this product every morning after I have applied my toner before my moisturiser. I’ve noticed it has really helped to improve the bright appearance of my skin, by making it looking brighter, fresher, more even toned and clearer. It also makes my skin smoother and softer. It works amazingly on a morning to give that fresh bright glow, without leaving the skin feeling greasy, oily or sticky. Its a clear formula which sinks into the skin straight away not leaving any residue or film. The perfect serum in my opinion!

It also works AMAZINGLY mixing it into a liquid foundation which already gives a nice healthy glow, to double the impact – making the skin look flawless!
Available to purchase here at £59 – £94, depending on preferred size.

Best Highlight for Dark Skin:
MAC Lustre Drops

IMG_1724 (2)

If you were wanting more of a an instant result and have more of an olive to dark skin. If you have a paler skin, I wouldn’t recommend so much, as the gold is incredible gold and ‘orange toned’. The MAC Liquid Lustre Drops in ‘Gold’ are stunning. You only get a small amount of product (18ml) but these are incredibly pigmented. Again you can use these on top of foundation for the high point of the face or mix it into foundation. I prefer to apply onto of the foundation as I feel its more noticeable and using a duo fibre brush I feel works well to gently buff the product into the skin without breaking down the base product, as they are very runny.
Available to purchase here at £18.

IMG_1733 (2).JPG

Winning Highlight for Multi-Purpose use:
MAC Strobe

IMG_1723 (2)

Another brilliant product by MAC which I cant go on a job without is MAC Strobe Liquid Lotion – original shade.

This stuff is amazing! So multi purpose!
You can either use it as a moisturiser base, before foundation, you can mix it with your foundation to lighten it a tiny bit and add a lovely radiance or you can just apply to the high point of the face. Again like the previous MAC product I think it works best to buff it into the skin lightly with a duo fibre blending brush. You can use your fingers with this product but I’ve find it just gets absolutely everywhere and feels like such a waste.
This product has lasted me 3 years – such an investment as a small amount goes along way as its so pearlised. Now MAC have launched some more shades to there collection to get the perfect colour glow you would like ranging from the original (pink) to red, gold, silver, you really should go into mac and swatch. I love the red toned one – which is surprising as the same does sound scarily awful. Its personal preference but I really recommend checking the strobe cream out if you’re wanting a higher end quick fix highlighter that multi purpose!
– Note: Mines the Lotion, I’m not sure if this is still available to purchase, but the lotion is just a tiny bit thinner than the cream, if you’re confused by the name.
Available here at £25.

IMG_1736 (2)

IMG_1737 (2).JPG

Best Photographic Highlight:
Illamasqua Gleam

IMG_1717 (2)

Another kit favourite of mine is the Illamasqua Cream Gleam Highlighters in ‘Aurora’ and they do a darker shade in ‘Supernatural’ which I also have in my kit, which is more of a coppery bronzed shade rather than a yellow toned gold in comparison to the MAC Lustre Drops.
Be aware though that you do need to use these sparingly, as they can go a little bit ‘patchy and bitty’ if you use too much on the skin. But they photograph is seamless, so stunning, a really instagram pop of highlight, so soft, satiny but bright and reflective.
I find they only work by patting onto of base product, I don’t feel like they come through if you were to apply before a base product. In my time of using them also I’ve found they work best being warmed on the back of the hand before being patted onto the skin using my ring finger. I wouldn’t recommend a ‘rubbing’ circular motion to work this into the skin, as with the texture its quite thick to needs to be gently manipulated into the skin. If you go into store I suggest swatching this first before buying, so you can feel the texture if it would work for yourself. To me the texture isn’t completely desireable, but I love it because the results it gives.
Available here at £25.

Top Budget Highlight under £5:
MUA ‘Undress Your Skin’ Powder Highlight

I am obsessed with these, if you dont own at least one, where have you been. You need to go purchase one and thank me later. You can thank me for introducing you to a super duper cheap life changing powder which will give you compliments to the high heavens every time you wear it.
I own the Iridescent Gold, Pink Shimmer & Peach Shimmer. Hands down all are flawless and beautiful for the price, they give intense colour pay off and such a beautiful sheen on the skin. Apply so easy and are so buildable, they dont apply patchy nor do they looks too cheap or too sparkly with huge chunks of glitter.
My first one was the pink shimmer, and I get SO MANY compliments I cant even tell you when I wear this. I wore this to work once, and after 45 minutes the girl went on her break to go and buy it as  she couldn’t stop staring at the glow haha! Its also been referred to as a ‘unicorn’ highlight too, its incredible. You will love.

How to Bubble Eye Liner! The NEW Trend!

Hey Guys!

Today I’m sharing with you a new liner trend, which is a fun cute wearable way to wear liquid liner!

I learnt this new technique recently whilst on my Lancome Make-up Artist Training and was actually surprised at how wearable and fun it looked so thought I would share with you, if you want to spice things up with your liner routine!

What I will be using:
Lancome Visionnaire Yeux
Lancome Effacernes Concealer
Lancome Loose Powder
Lancome Grandiose Liquid Liner
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara

Step 1.
IMG_1241 (2)

You will need to start by prepping your eye with an eye cream, to ensure the make-up we apply goes on easy therefore it will result in a flawless and professional finish!
For this I am using the Lancome Visionnaire Eye Balm. This is my current eye cream of choice, as I am currently the Visionnaire Day Cream with SPF 20, so I love to match my skincare for maximised results. I’m loving this balm as its a silky light balm texture, with a cooling finish, which isn’t too rich or greasy. It uses hydro-blur technology so evens out the skin tone, texture, minimises any fine lines and reduces the appearance of dark circles and bags. Perfection in a bottle for this liner look!
Remember girls, you only need a grain of rice sized amount of eye cream, less is definitely more!

Step 2.
IMG_1244 (2).JPG
Next we want to create a flawless base. So for this I like to use the Lancome Effacernes Concealer. I use this concealer every day to prime my lids. This concealer is Waterproof, so it stays put all day with NO creasing and it gives amazing coverage. Its a liquid concealer with a light cream texture, which gives such a natural result, which is why I love this.
Again I use a rice grain sized amount and apply to my lid using my ring finger in small patting motions. You don’t want to be pulling and rubbing your eye area, as your skin around your eye is so delicate, up to eight times thinner in fact! It is known that using your ring finger applies the least amount of pressure out of all your fingers – apparently!

Step 3.
IMG_1247 (2)
With Concealer done its important to set that perfect base with a dusting of powder. My choice of powder today is the Lancome Loose Powder in Translucent. I’m obsessed with a good translucent powder as it doesn’t alter the colour of your base, doesn’t look patchy it just sets your base with a see through veil, gorgeous! To apply this I just use a small fluffy brush.

Step 4.
IMG_1278 (2)

Now onto the fun bit! The liner. I’m using the Lancome Grandiose Liquid Liner, as its the best liquid liner I’ve found on the market and trust me I’ve tried everything and I’m super fussy. From a liquid liner I want an intense black pigment, not a off black – whats the point!? I always prefer a matte finish, as I find it looks more intense which Grandiose delivers on! I love a liner which dries fast and doesn’t smudge or run through out the day and again Grandiose doesn’t disappoint on this. Grandiose is built in with a water based formula, which sets with a matte film over which stops the product transferring – Genius! Plus I adore the click handle. Basically you can snap the handle of the liner to a 45 degree angle for ease of application, creating better precision.

Start by creating 1 half circle on the centre of your lid. From this point to another 2 either side. You then need to draw the line out, forming the wing. From this its so important to do a half circle on the bend of the wing to connect. I then was able to do another 2 small half circles on the ‘winged’ part. However this section all depends on your own eye shape and the overall look you want! I suggest working methodically in your head so you can get the shape symmetrical on the other eye.

Step 5.
IMG_1262 (2)

Now you have the basic shape, you now need to join up the half circles and neaten up the liner circles too. Once your happy follow steps 1- 5 on the other eye.

Step 6.
IMG_1285 (2)

Curl your lashes and finish with your Favourite Mascara. Today I’m using the Lancome Hypnose Drama, Mascara as I love a false lash effect which this mascara gives. It has excellent play time to allow you to build and layer the product up to give you thick full lashes.

Step 7. (Optional)
IMG_1294 (2)

I then decided to layer my Grandiose Liners! I decided to outline my edges with the Grandiose Liner in the Sapphire Blue Shade. I love this as I feel it really ties the look together and really defines the shape of the bubbles.

Step 8. (Also Optional)
Finally take a picture and Tweet/ Instagram Tag me your result – I would LOVE to see!

Meeting Lisa Eldridge! Life Goal Made.

IMG_0965 (4)

Well what a MINDBLOWING day. I’m writing this from the train back home from London to Leeds and I genuinely feel like I’m floating on cloud 9 right now, I mean, did that really just happen?

Lisa Eldridge is what just happened. Queen Lisa. Goddess Lisa. THE Ms L. E. THE LISA ELDRIDGE. Here’s what happened…

The morning started off with a 7.40am train from Leeds to London and a 15 minute tube ride to the beautiful part of London that is Sloane Square, my destination being the spectacular Peter Jones Store.

I ended up arriving in plenty of time, however I was more than happy to be an extra pair of hands to help everyone set up for the important day.
The event took place in the Sloane Room, when I arrived everyone was busy getting on with individual jobs. Jobs included organising the goodie bags for the guests, helping with refreshments, to glamming up fellow Lancôme members ready for the event and lastly  helping to set up the gorgeous make-up stations. The station set ups which would be used by the Lancôme Make-up Artist Team after the Q&A with Lisa Eldridge, included skincare which ranged from Bifacil, Micellaire Water, Advanced Genifique, Light Pearl and a range of moisturisers. Make-up displayed included the La Base Pro Primer, L’absolu Rouge Lipsticks, Matte Shakers, Lip Liners, Cushion Blush Subtils, and range of powders from Belle de Teint to Teint Idole Powder and to make the experience a memorable one newly launched Tresor La Nuit was today’s Perfume of choice to be used.
I had the pleasure of freshening up Emily’s make-up who is the Head of Pr in Social Media. Emily explained she didn’t want a lot so we agreed on mainly base product with a nice pop of colour on the lips. We used Ultra Wear Foundation (04), with a slight dusting of Teint Idole Powder through her T-Zone, to add colour back to her cheeks I went for a light wash of Cushion Blush Subtil (022) and we finished off with L’absolu Rouge Lipstick in shade Isabella (189). After helping where needed, I took the opportunity to grab a few pictures of the make-up stations and overall event. This time felt like the calm before the storm. The decor looked beautiful, very elegant, feminine and classic, as it does on every Lancôme event. I think we can all agree Lancôme definitely knows how to host an event… not biased by any means!

IMG_0944 (4)

IMG_0945 (2)

IMG_0946 (2)

IMG_0971 (2)

IMG_0966 (2)

At this point I was handed my ‘press’ card, which excited me, from this point onwards you can just call me a mini Alexandra Steinherr (lol!).

Once fellow guests arrived, it was the time we had all been waiting for. We were incredibly lucky to have the gorgeous bubbly Canadian Youtuber Estee Lalonde interviewing Lisa.

Estee was brilliant! Viewing her Instagram story, she explained how nervous she was as it was the first time she had ever interviewed and you had no idea, it was flawless, very effortless. She confidently asked Lisa lots of questions about her love of makeup, her earliest memories and building her career and a name for herself from the age of 13. I had previously thought about some questions I would ask Lisa and Estée pretty much got Lisa to answer all of them, see she was a real natural!

It was so inspiring to hear Lisa talking about how she interprets everyday life into her work, as this is what inspires her. Whether it is two contrasting objects together or tones of colours she sees that she likes together. She has a photographic memory, which she takes inspiration from.  As well as this Lisa shares the same love of iconic film stars such as Bridget Bardot and Marlene Dietrich.

IMG_0954 (2)

A burning question which a lot of people were dying to know, was what’s Lisa’s predictions on the upcoming trends? She believes minimal fresh skin, colour blocking and doubling up colour is a new trend which will take off this year, which is very interesting to know.

Lisa spoke about how her own personal makeup inspirations have shifted slightly. Previously the Korean/ Japanese girls inspired her a lot, with the bright pop of colours on the lips and pale skin. But now she’s attracted to the West Coast, L.A. vibes, entering into Spring Summer.
As a Lancôme Make-up artist I often see so many new exciting products that appeal to me on social media by Lancôme but never actually launch in the UK and I know a lot of people share my frustration. Hearing Lisa speak about the struggles and pressures of being a Creative Director for such a global beauty brand, was so interesting and really opened up my mind. Lisa explained how all countries around the globe, have such high expectations, with different interpretations of what beauty is to them, so creating products which can be sold globally can be hard to appeal to everyone. Lisa referred to her love of L’absolu Rouge Lipstick at this point and how her 84 chosen shades of Lipstick was a global launch, because there are colours that apply to all of these different markets, so everyone’s a winner. Her chosen L’absolu Rouge lip today was 393 – ‘Rose Rose’.

IMG_0958 (4)

It was interesting to hear her favourite international SPF product is the Precious Cells sunscreen with SPF 50, which Lisa can’t stress the importance of using an SPF to prevent ageing, this is definitely one product I will be keeping my eyes out for on my travels!

Lisa shared with us her desert island product when asked by Estée and how she feels the same with majority of women it has to be a base product and is no longer mascara. Lisa’s would be the upcoming camouflage cream, as she suffered with acne as a teen and has never out grown out of the use of a good concealer.
On the topic of concealer, it was interesting to hear as a Lancôme make-up artist that customers were mainly asking a lot of concealer based questions, which opened up my mind as to how the desert island product really has changed, which comes as no surprise I guess, due to the selfie ready environment we live in today!

IMG_0956 (2)

Lisa’s secret to perfecting the skin on all her clients and models is the use of her special mixing techniques of products to get the perfect formula for the individual. Whether it be mixing eye cream with concealer, serum with foundation, bb cream with concealer. The possibilities are endless and at the base of it all I found a new passion for concealer myself and how it really is a beauty product that may not get enough praise.

Another product recommendation from Lisa was the Grandiose mascara for sparse lashes. She couldn’t stress enough that massaging the products into the roots of the lash is key, up until the point where it almost becomes unbearable for her client, before dragging to the end of lashes and zigzagging up, a super handy tip that really does work, trust me – I’ve already put this tip into action!

I loved hearing about Lisa’s story and advice about her freelance career. Hearing how she got to assist the ever so talented Mary Greenwell was so fascinating! Lisa was told when she went to see Marys agent at Premier she didnt need to assist as her work was already amazing, however Lisa felt she was lacking the knowledge of working as a team, acting as a make-up artist on a ‘proper’ shoot. She said she felt up until that point she had just done her own thing, but know wanted to step it up and be in the best professional position she could possibly be!- How inspiring? Even when she was told by one of the Worlds BEST make-up agencies Premier she was good enough, it wasn’t enough she wanted more. This lady never settles, which I LOVE.

There was also there Lancome Make-up Team working on the day, offering attendee’s a make-up service, from the products provided on the stations. Many opted for a complexion make over using the much loved Ultra Wear foundation, whilst others opted for a pop of fun, with lip art using the fun bright new Matte Shakers!

IMG_0990 (2)

IMG_0996 (2)

IMG_1008 (2)

I finished the day on an absolute high meeting Lisa, grabbing a photo with Lisa! LIFE GOAL MADE. Lisa even complimented me on my make-up. LIFE GOAL MADE 1000x OVER.
I was also gifted with Lisa’s ‘Facepaint’ Book (which I was thrilled to be taking home), by the lovely Charlotte Wood, who invited me to the whole event.
Charlotte also works for Lancome and is a talented make-up artist, you can check out her work on instagram, her handle is ‘@charlottewood.mua’.

I had such a memorable day and felt so honoured to be a part of the special day for Lancome!

Hope you’ve enjoyed reading about this? Have you met Lisa before? Did you attend the event? Let me know below!

One2One with Lyndsey Harrison!

Hello!

So this post is following on from my most recent post which can be found here!

If you’ve not read that post to give you a little round up I’ve been following Lyndsey Harrison’s work since studying at Leeds City College, studying my BTEC Diploma in Performing Arts. Roughly that must be about 6 years ago now (2011) which is mind blowing.
I first discovered Lyndsey’s work after she was mentioned by Sam Chapman (Pixiwoo) in a Youtube Video. When researching Lyndsey’s work, encouraged by Sam, I then discovered she was working Behind The Scenes of TOWIE, glamming up the girls for their on screen appearances. Being a lover of the glam make-up and TOWIE, it was a non brainer that I became a follower of Lyndsey’s work and spoke to her a few times over the years.
Lyndsey now works daily with Celebrities such as Charlotte Crosby, Denise Van Outen, Lydia Bright, Sam and Billie Faiers to name a few!

Finally last Saturday I was able to meet Lyndsey in person, as my parents had booked a One to One lesson with her as part of my Christmas Present, it was just down to me to organise it all! So I thought I would share with you a little review/ insight of the day, without giving too much away!

After contacting Lyndsey over email and Lyndsey offering me a selection of varied dates, I opted for a Saturday and Lyndsey’s timing of 1-3pm suited my travelling needs perfectly. As I would be travelling from Leeds – Marlow.
Sorting out payment prior with Lyndsey was so efficient and easy. A bonus was the button on the email which came with the invoice which had the option to ‘send a notification’ after payment had been done, which was super handy!

On Saturday Morning I was greeted by a text from Lyndsey, whilst on my way down and took the opportunity to tell her I would be arriving much earlier than 1pm, due to the Sat Nav taking us a different route to which we had originally planned. Lyndsey offered to start the One2One half an hour earlier, putting me first, which I was so grateful for! To pass the time on Lyndsey suggested I venture down to the High Street, which was an amazing high street – you don’t get these types of highstreet’s up north! I’m talking about your Space NK, Jack Wills, WHSmiths, Zizzi’s plus loads more on a HIGH STREET. Everything you could ever need. After grabbing some Fish and Chips and wandering back to the car it was time to head to the One to One… Eeek!

Lyndsey’s studio is so easy to find with a private car park, it’s so beautiful, so clean and so organised, every girl’s dream. Her studio is decorated with magazine cuttings and beautiful images of her celebrity clients and friends, which made a great inspiring work environment to be in!

Lyndsey made me feel so comfortable, having to do make-up in front of a celebrity make-up artist can be a daunting experience, but don’t let this put you off, Lyndsey’s persona is very calming and laid back which helps to put you at ease and really gets the best out of you. Lyndsey really listened to what I wanted to gain and tailored the lesson to suit, giving industry advice and tips throughout. The 2 hours passed by so quickly!
We decided on a glamorous type make-up which Lyndsey regularly creates on her celeb clients. Lyndsey explained how this would be beneficial for me to learn as I could recreate on clients as well on photo shoots and would be beneficial for me and in my portfolio. In which I agree.
Lyndsey did one half of my face and I mirrored on the other side, after each step. Ideally it would have been great and much easier to have a model to use, however coming down from Leeds and choosing a Saturday Afternoon didn’t leave me much choice!
Putting this aside I still got as much out of it as I thought I would. Using products from my own kit along with my own brushes, was so handy.
I have also come away with knowledge of new products and up to date industry techniques to add to my kit in future.
The freedom and encouragement to take photos throughout is a bonus and a great way to remember the day too!
If you are thinking about booking in with Lyndsey, I would highly recommend even with a First Class Honours Degree in Media Makeup with Special Effects, I still came away learning new techniques with confidence. It really is worth the money!

An Update! Ft Lisa Eldridge & Lyndsey Harrison

Hello!

So I’ve been a little bit absent on my blog recently, but thought I should fill you in on what I’ve been doing.

Last week was a very eventful week, on Thursday I had an incredible time at my Lancôme Conference in London!

It was made extra special that one of my favourite make-up artists made a surprise visit, the one and only Lisa Eldridge!  😳

lisa-eldridge

Lisa is a big inspiration to me in make-up, her work is so Original, Creative and yet so Beautiful, always enhancing her models image and working with her canvas. Lisa spoke about her journey into the industry and how she has progressed to be Lancôme’s Creative Director of Make-up. Her visit was then rounded up by a Q & A for us all! And yes I can confirm Lisa in the flesh is just as beautiful and her voice is still as calming and soothing as ever even in front of around 600 Lancome BA’s.

Then rolled on Saturday!
On Saturday I spent the afternoon playing with make-up with Celebrity Make-up Artist, Lyndsey Harrison.
I’ve been following Lyndsey’s working since studying at Leeds City College studying my BTEC Diploma in performing arts, so that must be about 6 years ago (2011) mind blowing. I first discovered Lyndseys work after she was mentioned by Sam Chapman (Pixiwoo) in a Video. When researching Lyndsey I then discovered she was working BTS on the Cast of TOWIE, glamming up the girls for their on screen appearances. Being a lover of the glam make-up and TOWIE, it was a non brainer I became a follower of Lyndsey’s work and spoke to her over the years.
Finally last Saturday I was able to meet Lyndsey in person, as my parents had booked a One to One lesson with her as part of my Christmas Present, it was just down to me to organise it all!
I will be doing a little post in much more detail about how the One2One went so keep an eye out!

Let me know what you’ve been up to?

img_0451

Packaging: The packaging of the product I love its very luxurious looking with the Black case and Gold compact lid. Its very much a foundation aimed for a night time I believe in the  Lancôme foundation range, so the colours work well. These case also is very easy to wipe clean and pretty light which is a big bonus. I adore how you can refill this foundation for just £19.50 its definitely a feature I believe which will sway people into repurchasing, as it’s a pretty affordable foundation for such a luxury brand with full coverage.

Initial Thoughts:

  • Definitely quick to use
  • Easy to use – using the sponge applicator was easier than initially thought to use, as I was able to fold the sponge in half to get in hard to reach places such as around the nose. I usually use a foundation brush but this was a nice change.
  • Sponge application allowed even finish
  • Feels very light, I don’t feel like I am using a lot of foundation
  • Finish is quite velvety matte – not completely matte or dewy
  • Colour match was quite good for my pale skin
  • Easily covered up my redness

Full Face:

img_0353

Here I have the Teint Idole Cushion Foundation with the Cushion Subtil Blush in 024 on my cheeks and lips.

Overall verdict, after a week of using:

  • Best used when moisturiser has sunk in a little bit rather than straight away, as the sponge will absorb moisturiser
  • Extremely flawless
  • Doesn’t feel heavy or drying in the slightest
  • Stayed in place all day, didn’t feel the need to apply any more of the compact.
  • I did however feel incredibly oily/shiny after having the foundation on for over 13 hours, but the coverage remained intact which I was very impressed with.
  • So quick and easy to apply
  • Love how compact it is, so easy to carry around
  • Not sure how long the product will last before refilling, as do feel like I’m using more product than I would like to be honest.

Have you tried this particular full coverage cushion foundation? What’s your thoughts?

img_0226

Price: £28

What they say:
‘Vibrancy and freshness of a liquid blush in a portable cushion. This new blusher cushion instantly refreshes by bringing vibrant colour to your cheeks. Choose the intensity you want and apply with the mini puff applicator. Lancôme Blush has never been so fun!’

Colours Available:
There are six shades available, ranging from a natural ‘flush’ to a bright ‘pop’ of colour.
– 02, Rose Limonade
-022, Rose Givree
-024, Sparkling Framboise
– 025, Sorbet Grinadine
-031, Splash Orange
– 032, Splash Corail

Whats included?
– 7g of blush
– Sponge applicator

Tips & Tricks:
Application
The blush can also be applied using a stippling brush or finger tips. When using the sponge applicator for the first time I recommend tapping the sponge onto the back of your hand first to get any excess product off before applying directly to the cheek. If you need anymore blush you can use the remaining product off the back of your hand.

Multi-purpose
The blushers can actually be used on the lips also, and give a really nice pop of colour and work well when work on the cheeks and lips. They dont have the best staying power but brilliant to use if on the go and need to freshen up your appearance.

Making your Cushion last longer
A little tip for making your blusher last longer, is to actually use a pair of tweezers to flip the cushion sponge over in the compact. Usually due to having to press into the sponge a lot of the product can end up sitting right at the bottom of the sponge. So if you flip it over, it should be like brand new again!
